Market research is undeniably a required thing for every company to understand the market. It can help the company to understand what the market needs, the characteristics of the market, the factors that change the market and also to evaluate the company’s performance. In addition, doing market research will help the company to decide their next step of business. However, in executing a market research, it requires complex massive data analysis in order to get a precise result. PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk, one of the largest Indonesia’s tire manufacture company with revenue more than 3 trillion rupiah[1], approached BINUS Creates to hold a training program for its Corporate Training Team. Both BINUS Creates and PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana agreed to have a Minitab training program considering the fact that Minitab is one of the most practical software for processing data.

The training program was held in the office of PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk in Cikarang for one day. There were more than 20 participants joining the program, which came from several departments of PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk. The sessions of the program were delivered by subject content coordinator of statistics, Mrs. Margaretha Ohyver, S.Si, M.Si. and Mr. Anom Yudistira from the School of Computer Science of BINUS University. The training covered a lot of features of Minitab such as basic statistics, regression, ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance), nonparametric statistics, control charts, multivariate and also time series. Supported with the knowledge and skills to use Minitab, all of the participants were expected to be able to process data, interpret the output of the data and also able to choose the most suitable statistics method to deal with the issues in the company.
